When I woke up the next day I didn't feel that good. My plan for that day was to do the Bondi-Coogee walk, but I thought it might not be a good idea so instead I just went to Darling Harbour. To me it's just a name… Touristic place with many shops and restaurants, not my cup of tea. Anyway, my feeling got better so I decided to take the walk.
After some bad instructions from different people, eventually I made it to Bondi. Ohhhh what a beautiful place!! It's just this perfect white sand beach, in a kind of bay… and the setting, I mean the skies were blue, great weather… what more can you ask for?
The last time I saw it was 13 years ago when the beach volley tournament took place! (I was there during the 2000 olympics).
I started the walk towards Coogee beach. At the beginning you just have to turn your head backwards every few steps to see the beach again, it's hard to let go… During the walk you pass another small bay and a cemetery (on the beach?!) and eventually you get to Coogee and then start to walk back.
That was my last day in Sydney so in the evening I went to a "fancy" restaurant and had a good meal. I ordered an airport shuttle for the next morning and sadly I set the alarm to 4:30AM…
When I woke up it was… 4:55!!!!! I missed the shuttle and the lobby guy didn't know if it's coming back and surely enough he didn't have a mobile number . If this was to happen in Bolivia or another 3rd world country I could say "naaa 3rd world" but here you realize that's just life.
I took a cab which should have taken me to the train station but the driver convinced me I should go with him directly to the airport. I just had my last change and I told him… When we reached the airport I just gave him what I had. And that was the end to my short visit to Sydney.
